We always hear those negative stories about the adoptive family taking the baby, never to be seen again, or the birth parents taking the money and disappearing so we wanted to address how we somehow knew that wasn't going to happen and how we made those kinds of arrangements.

What is a normal family?
After someone asked the question about Deanna not having a ‘normal’ family - it made us think....
Do you know of a family like the one on “Leave It To Beaver?” Neither do we!
Today, most of us have a family member who:
is a step someone
is a half brother or sister
is a single parent
is adopted
has special needs
are grandparents raising grandkids
is an older sibling raising younger siblings
has a life partner
is co-habitating with someone with/without children
has had a child out of wedlock
has been raised by extended family
does not have children
has a child through IVF
is married to someone from a different country or culture than themselves
